Here's a few before, during and after pics of my current boat that some of you asked about in regards to this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?p=3015014#post3015014
It started life as a 19' Starcraft Fishmaster. Unlike my previous projects (16' and 21' Starcrafts), the one didn't end up upside down in my driveway, not that it was any easier. I bought the boat about 4 years ago for $3K even, which included two Scotty electric downriggers. The Force 90 was "frozen" at the time but I got it going by replacing the head gasket and pulling out the frozen piston, scotchbrited the rings and cylinder wall and used it for two years until I finally said "enough!" and sold the Force within 90 minutes on CL for $150. That was the start of a 10 month project (not actively working on it all the time) that included:
A near straight-across deal for the galvanized trailer to buy an aluminum trailer.
All new floor and splashwell bulkhead from spaceagesynthetics (1/2" thick).
All new aluminum consoles that are 3" higher (I'm tall and don't like to look over the windshield).
All new wiring with LED lighting including nifty bow lights that are set into the hull.
Anchor bracket
New paint on hull and interior.
New top.
Humminbird FF/GPS (768 I think).
New seats.
And the crown jewel of course, an e-tec 90 HP Honda.
Lots of other things that I'm probably forgetting.
I'm hoping it will last me another 10 years or so until I retire.
