1951 johnson gas tank fix it or not?

I have a 51 johnson gas tank outside is in great shape but it needs to be epoxy coated on the in side also need rebuld kit for it. Am i crazy or not. where can i find parts for it?

Try www.johnson.com and go to Dock Talk...there is a listing for dealers in old and obsolete parts. As for the fuel tank there was a terrific idea (right from this board ) to put nuts and bolts inside the tank to act as an abrasive to clean out the old junk. Easy to remove too. I would visit a parts store (motorcycle shops always have it too) for tank coating kits. Comes with a cleaner and a coating too.<br /><br />Good Luck,<br /><br />Bob
