Thank You Everyone. High Trim, Old Boat, Racerone, F-R, Ga Boater and many others.
Thank You to everyone that has held my hand thru this "revival" of this oldie but goodie.
Memorial Day weekend, put the boat in the water with the wife as first mate (appropriate).
fueled up with 4 gallons of premix and (with directions in hand) began process of adjusting carb jets.
What a HOOT! Motor started, idled, ran smoothly.
The only issue is power. I wonder how much power I should expect.
My Big Twin pushed my 15 ft fiberglass hull (circa 1957) at a blazing 17mph - which is barely on plane.
The question here is if that is as good as its gonna get.?
Maybe I will test compression again and see if anything changed.
