CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE. I have a 1956 Evinrude outboard motor---35 horsepower. Does anyone out there know the fuel mixture for it? I'm dying to get it in Lake Winnapesakee. The Big Fish are up there just calling my name and teasing me. Help please soon. Thanks, Patchass :( ;)

Hi, Patchass.

Welcome to iboats. :)

The I/O and Inboard Engine Forum is not the best place to ask about outboard fuel mixes.

The best place would be the General Outboard Forum, where I will move this.

The correct mix for your engine is 24:1, 87 octane unleaded regular, and TC-W3 rated outboard oil. That is one quart oil to 6 gallons gas.

Good luck. :)

By the way, there was no '56 35hp, only a 30hp. 35s were made from '57-59. Check out the FAQ forum (not the faq above) for how to find out what year your outboard is.

If it's older than 1965 the mix is 24:1 if it's newer it's 50:1 Hope this helps. 24:1 is one qt. per 6 gal gas, 50:1 is one pint per 6 gal gas Grab a six pack and head for the lake. :D
