1957 10 Horse restoration questions

I plan on restoring my recently aquired 10 HP 57 Johnson.Does anybody know what exact color of red i need? http://members.cox.net/whitenoiz1/pics/covered.JPG
Under the cowl is fine I shouldnt need to do anything there.On a side noteoes anybody know where I might find O.E.M. or reasonable replica stickers?

Peter McDowell at http://www.nymarine.ca/ has the exact paint and decals. Not cheap, but if you want it done right....

That red color is what Johnson called Holiday Bronze. Peter M. has the exact color match for this, the cream color, and many others. I have been redoing a 57 Johnson 18 hp and found that Duplicolor's GM Cayenne Red is almost an exact match. Haven't found the right match for the cream color yet though. Duplicolor paint is available at most auto parts stores. It's important to remember to use a self etching primer before painting an outboard. Otherwise the primer and paint will just bubble off after it's been in the water awhile.
