1958/59 Johnson 50HP Sea Horse V4 info?

I'm looking for a manual for this motor in the 20 - 30 dollar range.

Does anyone know the gear ratio of the lower unit?

Does anyone know what pitch props were available, and where they could be purchased?

Gear ratio = 17:29

I see 12-1/8 X 14, three blade aluminum listed.

Check to see what iboats has for a service manual. I haven't looked.

I got a Seloc manual off ebay for $31.55 including shipping.

Thanks for the other info, what RPM should this motor cruise at WOT?

I have two props so I'll have to see if they list a size.

my book says 4000-5000 rpms for the the fat fifty

I would keep an eye on Ebay for it.....

thats a cool motor but wow.... that cant be easy on the gas
