1958 Evinrude fuel tank petcock bung size

Anyone here remember or know what the thread size is on the 1952-1964 Evinrude/Johnson 3 HP outboard fuel outlet bung? I'm guessing it may be 3/8" NPT.

Thanks to all that can give the size.

The reason I need an answer is the fuel tank leaks at the petcock, and there is a new one on ebay from a marine dealer up north for a very hefty price of $90.00, which it out of my class.

If the threads leak, wrap a little Teflon tape around the threads.

Use fuel resistant Teflon tape.. mine came in yellow spool..

Clean it up and a couple of drops of Loctite blue Screw-Lock will work miracles.
