1959 10 HP Seahorse Plug Wire Question

I have 1959 Seahorse 10 HP motor that needs new spark plug wires, I have some of the newer wire that is resistance wire, two feet shows about 7000 ohm. Will this work on these older engines?

Solid core is best. Napa has it in bulk with the spark plug nipples.
