Yep I have a 59 35 super sea horse that has horrific wiring as it has been siting decaying most of its life. My question is about the two black wires that come from the stator. I think one of them is supposed to run to the cut off switch am I correct! And if this is right which one as they are not entact on my motor. I believe the other one runs down to the electric plug? Off the plug there is one that feeds the starter and one that's should feed the choke? Finally I think there is one that feeds to the mercury switch? I would appreciate if someone could help me with a diagram or even better would be pictures of a similar engine. Would anyone know where I could find the plug that bolts into the motor dent he electric start. I got this old girl for cheap off craigslist and I would love to get it running. So far I have changed the gear case seals rebuilt the carb and the ignition system all due to reading these threads. All I have left is this wiring.
Thanks
Andrew

It is doubtful you have a stator. Those two thin black wires are likely from the points, to allow the spark to be killed. Take a look in the Top Secret section or at the maxrules website for a wiring diaghram.

Those two black wires get grounded TOGETHER to kill the motor. I believe they terminate on the M terminals on the key switch.
