Bought this motor for a song. Good PSI in both cylinders. No fuel lines or pressure tank, so I installed a fuel pump to run it on a single line. Checked impellor - OK. Coils etc. - OK. Now to test it, can I use the muffs, or do I need to get a barrel to drop it in to?
Please and thank you.

No muffs. Water has to be about 5-6" above the split line where the g/c attaches to the exhaust hsg. Get a big barrel

There is a muff made by Temp, but rare as "hens teeth" as F_R would say.

Ive been trying to round one up for a couple years with no success. Barrel testing is the best method anyways, especially for testing the new impellor.

The muff made by Tempo is now NLA. I guess I was lucky, I got one yrs ago.
