Hi everyone,

I recently inherited a boat that is in need of some serious TLC. I was told that sanding the hull with 100 grit would be a good place to start as I am looking to start from scratch. This is the first time i have ever attempted this feat so I plan on living on this forum as there seems to be a well maintained community of collaborators here. I have attached some photo's and am really looking for some helpful advice as I start on this journey!

Very cool old runabout !
Yep 100 grit would be fine to start with .
I’m sure the stringers and transom will need replacing ..
Good luck and let us know how we can help ..
:welcome:

Drill it on the lower inside. Mark the bit so you do not got through the outside. Are the shavings dry and light color. That is a good transom. If they are dark wet or come out looking like toothpaste. It has to be replaced.
