I just found a Lone Star Saratoga in my area. As I have a thing for old aluminum boats, I committed to it. Hardly a ding on it, just some bad paint. Any tips for paint removal? I have sanded and polished before, and will likely try that.

Lots of LS alum. down in S. TX. when I was a teen.. Good, reliable boat, light, a 14 footer would plane out nicely with a 7 ? and a guy and his tackle. Or an old man running a Western Auto. (auto parts chain that also sold Merc specially badged) 7 ? on a 14 footer with 4 kids with one on the bow to get her down so she'd plane out which she did!!!!!!!!

Any paint stripper will work, or aircraft remover. Nice old tinny. If you polish the aluminum I can not recommend semichrome polish it simply is the best.
