1960 18hp Fastwin and 1958 18hp Fastwin

I have the 60 and a chance of getting the 1958. Are the parts interchangeable on these years?

Most parts are the same except for parts to do with how the cowlings fit on them.

'60 has a thermostat, '58 does not. Carb & knob linkages are different to accommodate different cowlings. Other than that and the aforementioned cowling changes, there's quite a bit of interchangeability.

Many/most parts are the same. However, quite a few are different. Cylinder head, cylinder block, exhaust covers, exhaust housing are some of the major differences. If you are buying the '58 for parts, it is a gamble unless you have specific parts in mind that you need. Then compare part numbers for verification.
