1960 Evinrude 40hp Lark II, Will it fit??

I have a line on a used powerhead for a 1959 Evinrude 35hp Lark. My question is, will this PH fit on my 1960 Evin 40hp Lark II, or am i way crazzzzzy. It sure looks like it will. Same bolt paterns or what????????

depends there was a change in that time frame. they went to super quiet, check the water tubes some had 1 tube, some had 2.

I'm virtually certain that all of the 1959s had the two-tube lower unit. I'm absolutely certain that the 1960 did.

The two-tube first appeared on the 1958 Johnson Super Seahorse (RDS-20), and I believe all the 35 and 40hps from 59 on used it. Should fit.

The powerheads should interchange, although you might have to dink around with the carb to keep it from running lean.
