Re: 1960's johnson 9.5 propeller pitch?
The standard pitch that is reccommended for this motor I am told is 8x7 will a 9x9 work ok?

That would depend entirely on the application.My info is the standard prop is 8 x 8 1/2 It would appear a 8 X 9 would be close if your pushing a light load.
If you usually have a buddy along I would stick with a standard prop.
You shouldn't make any changes unless you have your present prop size and max rpm and speed.
