1960's model??

I have a Gale Products 60 HP motor (Mdl # 60DE11BL AND SERIAL # 841693)that I would like a repair manual for and a lower unit (or at least parts for the lower unit). My problem is that I do not know the year nor do I know where to go to locate the information. Can you help? Thanks, Brad

Your motor is a 61. Gale was a devision of OMC. Motor is very similar to the Evinrude/Johnson motors of similar years. I believe there is a reprint Gale factory manual here at iboats but and E/J manual will serve as well.I believe it has the old manual gearcase very easy to work on. Often refered to as being heavy but actually about 200 lbs.Many present day 60s are 240 or more.
