1961 18HP Johnson FD-15 Carb Needle Spring?

Hello all, I recently did a carb rebuild on my 18HP Johnson Outboard and inside the rebuild kit there was a new needle, seat, washer, and a little spring-like piece of wire. My original needle and seat didn't have this. Can anyone please post a pic of how this spring is supposed to be installed?

Small hook of spring goes into groove of needle valve.

Long flat part of spring goes over \metal flange of float.

When installed properly, when the float drops down, the spring pulls the needle valve down. It's purpose is to help avoid a sticking needle valve problem.
