I have purchased a boat that needs alot of repair work. The electric start Uni-Charger Box is completely corroded & was laying in the boat, along with the throttle & steering cables. Am having trouble finding these parts. Can anyone help me ?Im in Wisconsin. Its a 1961 Starfire III model# 50927 75HP 4 cyl.

That box contains a starter solenoid, some fuses and some knife-blade connections for the wiring. If the motor has a generator, the mechanical voltage regulator is also contained in the box. Why not use a piece of plywood or some plastic box to replace it?

A wiring diaghram will show you what wires need to be fused.

Ya just build one, home depot or lowes sells the plastic boxes for doing electric work, that's all I use to build them. A marine solenoid, some wiring, auto store will sell fuse holders and screw terminal blocks. Save the VR if you can.

The uni charger has a lot more parts in it than the regular engines... they're complicated! Personally, I'd get a solar panel :)

Anyone got a wiring diagram of one, i'd be interested to see if I could build one from parts.
