Im looking at a 61 lark III 40 hp/ Guy has spent about 600 on it to get it running well and Im wondering what I should be cautious of about it before I buy it. Any ideas will help alot. thanks

discussion not repair.Would be great to get a test run on a boat in a tank is ok but not a conclusive test.Do a compression check,100 psi is considered minimum.and within 10% between cylinders.find out what new parts are involved.Wouldn't hurt to check lower unit lube.
