i have a 1962 75 hp on an old 1973 i think 14' vanguard trihull prop size is 10x12. The problem is it takes a very long time to get on plane 5 to 7 minutes on calm water engine seems to be bogging during this period once i get up on plane all is fine runs greats top speed of 30 mph according to gps. I'm sure the boat is very heavy along with two fat guys piloting it lol
would a smaller pitch be a could place to start?

You need to know what the rpms are max. You got a tach? Just putting a smaller pitch prop on it without knowing what the engine is turning could spell disaster. It could also be the engine set up on the boat. Take a look at the anti-cav plate (the "fin" just over the prop) and see where it sets in relation to the keel. Rule of thumb....it should set no more than 1" below or above the keel....preferably 1" above.

Also, have you tried different engine tilt angles?
