Just a follow up now 2 years later. I often wonder when I read stuff on diy forums how long the fix lasted. The motor and boat still running good now 2 years later. No changes. Very consistent. I rebuilt the seats and bought new boat cover in 2020. My Uncle had his ride in the boat but I am not sure if he realized everything it took to make that happen. Anyway I am going to sell it and get new boat. Looking for something bigger and hopefully much newer.
Any Ideas on how to price my 1962 75hp Evinrude with 1962 Duracraft 16ft everything works with no hull leaks? It is aluminum riveted hull V bow flat bottom stern. Teleflex steering. The bow is not open. Includes the battery, two 6.5 gall fuel tanks, paddle, anchor, new front fold down-swivel bucket seats, Garvin fish finder, speedO, trailer and new boat cover of course. The 1/2plywood floor board is coated with plastic/vinyl imitation floor planks and the wood is "NOT" rotted or weak but the plastic is worn looking. Has some scratches on the paint job but overall in good condition. The windshield had oxidation on the upper half so I cut it down to half the height (So I could see). The paint is not oxidizing. I was thinking $3000. Thanks for all the help.
