Does anyone know the weight of a 1962 Evinrude Starflite IV 75hp? Was this a good engine? Anybody running this engine with the electric shift?
Thanks

Approx 240 pounds. Sure they were good motors for their day. Are you asking because you are considering buying one? Keep in mind, it is not a complete motor unless it has the remote control and the electric junction box with all the cables and instruments. That stuff is worth as much or more than the whole rest of the motor.

I noticed that my 57Cadillac seems to plane better if I have a buddy stand in the back and I wouldn't mind a little more power. I could just go with a newer model but I love the look and sound of these old outboards.
