1962 Johnson 40 electromatic hydrofoil?

Motor is finally running great, but it takes a while to get my 16ft Smoker craft Jon up on plane, is there any sense in adding a hydrofoil? If so what will fit? Looks like the cavitation plate is 5.5 in. Wide?

What prop are you running and what rpm is the engine peaking at? WOT range on that engine is 4000 - 5000 rpm
