1962 Johnson 5.5 CD-19 Quick Question

Did this year/model have a friction brake to hold motor position? A quick glance didn't reveal an adjustment screw or nut under the front lower cover.....

Yes there is what they call an adjusting screw.This has a plastic shoe on the end.It appears it is near the front of the pivot tube.

Thanks, at first glance it looked like a hex bolt with very limited access. I'll take a closer look when I can back to the lake. It's a friends motor.
