i haven't posed in a long time because my motor has been running like a top thanks to you guys, but on a recent trip to the UP fishing, my motor started running bad, so I shut it down and put it on the boat lift for inspection, when I tried to start it, nothing no click, nothing, so I pull started it, it started right up, but it will not shift into reverse, or forward. when I jump the solenoid the starter works as it should. can the starter solenoid effect the electric shift??? I'm lost

No the starter solenoid should have no effect on electric shift.----Is the generator working properly , yes , no or not sure ?

Fuse.

EDIT: I take that back. I lost my diagram in the computer crash, but I don't think the shift/solenoid/ign switch is fused.

But I still suggest corroded battery cable connectors or the plug-in connection in the junction box. Possible bad key switch also. Or something of that nature.

Oops:embarassed:. the one on Page 59 while not for an electric shift, it does show wiring for a generator equipped motor
