I have the 1963 model 40 hp of the evinrude Lark.
Mine has a connection on the right for the throttle.
There is an arm on the left I believe to shift gears?
I know my motor is suppose to use the Selectric shifter.
But can I use a simplex shifter on it as well?
I can not find a selectric shifter.
Simplex should work to connect one cable to the throttle and the other to the gear lever on the side?
I also can not find a Junction box for this model.
Would it be safe to just connect a starter button and kill switch?

Thanks

Sorry I just found out that the motor is a 40352D evinrude.
What kind of shifter do I need for this?
Also will the simplex work with this model?
And can I use a starter button and kill switch?
Thanks
