1963 johnson 40hp help

i have a 1963 johnson 40hp model rd25. but correct me if im wrong wbut wasnt this model only a pull start and manual shift. Well mine is an electric start and pull start but no generator. and i cant find part diagrams electric start related for the rd 25, but i did find diagrams for the electric start group for the 1963 johnson 40hp model rk 25. are the two engines basically the same and will the electrical parts from the rk 25 work on my electric start rd 25

If you are looking for the parts list for an electric start, manual shift motor, you should be looking at RDS-25

However, the electric shift motor, model RK-25 has the same starting system so it will work too. The RK has additional parts (generator related).
