1963 Merc retrofit water temp and pressure guage

Is it possible to retrofit sensors for water pressure and temperature to a 1963 Merc 1000? If so, how would I do this?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Brad

There are aftermarket temp kits that will allow you to bolt a sending unit onto the outside of the waterjacket cover.<br /><br />As for pressure you would have to tap the block somewhere to install the sender.<br /><br />TMD

Thanks for the prompt reply TMD.<br /><br />Is it easy to tap the block for a pressure sender? Also, how much of a benifit would a pressure guage be? There is a lot of seaweed in the channel I have to go through to get to the main part of the lake, and I was thinking the pressure guage would be benificial to tell me if something obstructs the water intake.
