1963 Starcraft Marlin Restoration!

Well, this is my first boat and first boat semi restore. It is a 1963 Starcraft Marlin 14' aluminum v-hull. It needs some work but for the price you can't beat the deal! I picked up the boat and the trailer for free! My first question is what is the best paint to repaint the hull with? How about on the inside? I was thinking about using the "non-slip" type of spray can that has almost like sand in it. Anybody have any luck with this? Well, wish me luck and any pointers will be greatly appreciated!

I had the exact boat and just gave it to my son....mine was a 63

They were just metal frames and very very light aluminum and filled with flotation foam.

Well this weekend I pressure washed the boat. Put some primer down on the inside of it and cleaned it up good. I planned on painting the inside but it has rained for the last 3 days straight! Hoping to put the paint to it on Wed. Next step after that is the seats...I will post pics soon!

Got to do some work today on the boat. We painted the inside and outside today!!! Unfortunately the inside paint isn't the color I was hoping but turned out pretty nice. I used good ol Rustoleum. Tomorrow hopefully we can touch up some of the runs in the paint and put the numbers on it. After that, we are going to put the seats back in and see what's next. Here are some pics.
