Friends,
I've found a 1964 or perhaps 1965 LONE STAR RELIANT 18 foot cruisette, sitting out in a pasture (on a Shoreline trailer) looking UNLOVED.
It's for sale for about what the aluminum is worth as scrap. The hull is in good shape, though the 2 lounge seats & the seat bases are missing. Also, the carpet/floors were rotted, so the PO removed both & disposed of them.
(I was told by the son of the previous owner that the seats were removed to be reupholstered some years ago but that he doesn't know who the PO took the seats to for recovering.).
The trailer needs a LOT of attention but is all there & fairly easily to restore..
I'm looking for at least one good quality color photo of what the boat's interior looked like when it was new, so that the interior trim can be copied by our local upholstery "guru".
Also, I would appreciate knowing which company made the "lay-down" lounge seats, as a local marine dealer tells me that LONE STAR "outsourced" the seats from an "outside vendor".
THANKS for reading this.
yours sincerely, satx
