Re: 1964 cd-21 shaft help
Kinda makes me think of those deals with cars, when some one said; "it ran when parked" LMAO but at the time it was being parked number 3 rod was going, clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank and the flat tire barely got it to the parking spot.

And parking this car took place back in 1976, when one of his buds brought over a 12 pack, to help move it. 2011 comes along, and someone comes by to prospectively purchase this car and he is told........"it ran when parked" I'm sorry, but I just had this visual when I read this post.
So, just how much in pieces is this motor? Did someone just remove the powerhead to change the waterpump? Or is the powerhead in pieces too?
The cork gasket on the very top, displayed in F_R's attachment, is the one that keeps the water out, so make sure that this is new, when you put the motor back together. A good o-ring is a must. And make sure the spring is in good shape too.
