Can anyone tell me the difference between 1964 Johnson 90hp models V4M-10 & V4Ml-10S. I recentley purchased a Johnson "Sweet 16" boat with the original engine and I've found a "copy" of the original Johnson service manual (for 1964 - 1968 90hp - 100hp) on ebay. My motor is the V4ML-10S (Canadian model, by the way) and the manual lists model V4M-10 among the motors it covers.

I'm wondering if my motor is just a slight variant (it has power tilt) or if it's quite different. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the answer. I sort of figured it out today by looking at other posts.

I'm just amazed at the info being provided here. This is my first power boat and I can't wait to get right into the service/refit and get out on the water!
