1964 johnson meteor 90hp

I am trying to locate the model number for this particular outboard. When i went to the marine store they said it would be located on the mount somewhere, i looked it over now for about an hour and can not find it. Can anyone help me?

Mine is on top of where you unlock the tilt at!!! mine is a 59 35 hp and it was dusty where mine is at might have to clean it

thanks for the help but unfortunately its not their neither i have numbers that are stamped in my mount but do not match any model number of johnson's

The model number of the Johnson 90 HP Golden Meteor Engine will be found on the engine serial-number plate. This plate is attached to the port stern bracket.

From the Meteor Manual .<br />If it is a 1964 90hp > V4m-10 , V4m-10s ( S = short shaft ).
