So, silly me accidentally moved the timing advanced stop screw on my engine and now I need to check and make sure the timing is correct for wide open throttle. There's a lot of great information on this forum and it's been very helpful to me.

I've been following this write up, but what I need to know is if my engine is a "direct charge" crossflow ( 21 degrees) or the so called "plain vanilla" crossflow (34 degrees)

Thanks, Dan

So tonight I had a chance to pull the top cover off of the engine and I ran into a problem. There doesn't appear to be a timing indicator, or a way to measure timing advance on the flywheel. I did manage to find some info for timing that i have in a partial service manual, but it appears they used a special tool that threads into the spark plug hole to set the timing. Is there a way I can do this with a timing light?
