I have a 1964 Evinrude 18 hp Fastwin. Will a stator off a 1967 model work? Same everything except for the year model. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They don't show a 67 18 HP....

Pretty sure they don't call that a stator too....what are you looking for, the coil?

In 67, they called it a 20 in the Johnson line, in the Evinrude line it was an 18. the Ignition systems are the same thru those years

This is an example of the wonderful interchangeability of the 22 cube models.-----Parts are everywhere, new and used.

Some Diligence has to be used, as mixing some parts will result in an Engine's Demise. Pistons, Rods, Cylinder Heads, and Crankshafts are different between the 18/20hp and the 25hp versions,

These motors were built for many years.----Lots of new and used parts can be found.----Yes , the novice has to do a wee bit of checking on part numbers.
