Have to sell this for an elderly friend. Last ran 15+ yrs ago then was put up. Any idea what these old engines are going for these days? Is there such a thing as a boat motor "trader" magazine?
I'm on the southern Oregon coast. Many thanks for any input!

depends on condition...seized ?...cracked coils... salt water engine ??? impeller gearcase condition overall looks help

generally a refurbish can hit 125$ for coils points condenser carb kit etc...
I have paid $50-75 CDN for several 9.5hps

this one a 1966 I paid $50 cdn . it was seized solid... took a week to loosen the rings with penetrating oil but runs good now :)

depending on local demand try $150 and work down....

Working when he stopped using it because he was too old to go out any longer. Fresh water only.
Thanks for the advice.....see what happens.

I see them at $600 for a good running one.----Not sure what folks are actually paying for them.----I have gotten them as is, where is for a case of beer or even free.-----I have all the parts many times over to repair one.

if it was put to sleep properly it may be fine (oiled pistons, gear oil changed
emptied carb etc...)

yet 15years ages things...which can go wrong due to humidity, heat, mice
rusted gear case

you can always go fishing for more $$$ ....no harm is asking for more
good luck
