1965 evinrude 6 hp compression?

Looking at getting a Rude 6hp/1965. Owner says it has 90 lbs compression on both cyls. Is this good? What is normal for this engine? Thanks in advance.

Compression depends on a lot of variables.

The fact that they are even is the main thing. 90 lbs is fine for that model.

My 1970 6hp had 65 on both cylinders and ran great. It did everything a 6hp is supposed to do...
