Hi yall,I got an old 6hp Evinrude lately that hadn't been run in years.The pistons were rusted to the cylinders and so on.I got everything freed up and turning ,just to breath a little life back into it.I got her running and bought a new carb kit for it,fuel pump and so on.I can not get the needle to seat no matter what I do.I pump the bulb easy or it will overflow.I use that as the choke to start it.It runs pretty good even idles ok but very tricky.I wouldn't trust it on the water.I have come to the conclusion that the needle don't match the seat.Have any of you guys run into this.I plan on buying another float kit by a different maker.I know to set the float with the carb body and all that stuff but the needle will not seat.
