Ok so heres goes end of last year boat ran fine started coughn, hesitating ,bogging etc when throttled up..So i figured well i better clean carbs n check points....Took starter off dropped distributor housing down cleaned points, rebuilt carbs, ran fine "better" on muffs no hesitating i did only turn out idle screw about 1 1/2 turns ...Got to lake started up fine in water but when accelerating it acts like it starting to go then dies after about 50 feet ..So i stared fiddling with cable turned out screws a little bit no difference...Notice cable was freyed and primer bulb was loosing prime so called it a day ...orded fuel pump kits put them in as well as new throttle cable... Its running nice n smooth on muffs but have yet to take it to lake gnna try friday afternoon...From what i read i need to finish adjusting idle screws, I did adjust throttle stop ,and idle screw a bit having it idle a little high on muffs so hopefully itll start ok ... I also replaced the primer bulb as the other one was old..Inspected fuel lines dont see any major damage so left them be, they are cracking a little bit when u bend them but i dont think its a problem i am planning on replacing those soon also ...I dont have a timing lite to check but im assuming its ok as it ran fine the last few times i had it out last year untill it starting bogging ... I tried to do it ohm meter and dial indicator but cant tell when points open on ohm meter to well never done this before and its very touchy.. I was just wanting some ideas on what to do next /or while im on the lake if it still is bogging any suggestions , and help is of course greatly appreciated thank you sooo much !!!! Brian s.... Ohh i have 90 psi in all cylinders as well ...
