1966 50HP problems

It seems I have problems with ignition timing?<br />Idle and lower revs run quite well, but when<br />trying to go faster the engine starts to cough.<br />Am I right with the problem? <br />I've also a mystifying problem with the lights of my boat. The lights works fine for a while and then the fuse burns out, why?

Hi, Finn.<br /><br />We have a problem, too. We don't know what make engine you have. Let us know.<br /><br />You have a short circuit or an overload in your lighting circuit.<br /><br />Good luck.
