1966 6HP Evinrude

Could anyone let me know what the point gap should be on this engine. It runs great but am having trouble at idle speed.

You need to put this in the Evinrude/Johnson forum. Point gap is .020 but if it starts good and runs good the points are probably ok.
You may need to set the idle speed ,about 700 rpm. and I believe there is and idle mixture screw you can adjust.
