1966 80hp Evinrude Outboard motor ???

Hello , what is your idea of buying the above mentioned motor, am I goining to run into major headaches finding parts, i figure this motor should be easier to work on compared to a newer motor that has computers and NASA style electronics ......... etc

I inherited a 1972 Evinrude 25hp Sportster last year. It is on a 1971 Fisher Marine. It is an excellent motor, starting on the third try after sitting for 12 years. But, it didnt start again. The carb was rebuilt by someone else, for about $140, and it runs like a sewing machine. My brother got a 1967 9.9 hp Evinrude and had the same experience. Good old motors, but I'd use Stabil if I was you.
