Help I have lost my manuel and need my point settings. I think it might be .020 but if I am wrong i may murder my beloved merc. Any help would be most appreciated. Keikerhead
Well, you don't sat if it is a 950 or 950SS so I'll give you the specs for both. Neither of these engines have a point gap setting. Both use a Kiekaefer ignition and the point gap is set with a dwell meter. The 950 has a dwell of 45 degrees and the 950SS should be set at 90 degrees. My manual doesn't show a gap setting (others might) Good luck!
