I just bought this boat yesterday:)I will drop it in the lake tomorrow to see if it goes zoom zoom. ...... and post new pics .....and keep you updated. Does anyone know where to get parts for these? Does anyone know what they are worth? I hear that it is the boat featured in the old James bond movies.

Parts for a 1966 boat:eek:

Welcome to iboats! :)

Wow parts are going to be tough for a rare boat. Some member's here have made their own parts, spent weeks on ebay...... parts (original parts) is similar to a treasure hunt!

Wow, I hadn't seen anyone else with one of these till I got mine, and all of a sudden I see about three of 'em on here :)

I dunno on parts for the most part either, I'm lucky that mine has most of the original parts. I'd suggest you either plan on making your own or hunting through on-line classifieds.

If you have the graymarine engine, parts are available for it. If you have one of the more obscure engines used, maybe not?

Post a lot of pics of yours and any restore process you do, I'd love to see 'em.

Erik

PS: I'm not exactly sure what boat was in the bond film (It was "Thunderball", by the way) but it's not the 1961 model I have. Post some pics of your interior and drives and maybe we can figure it out.

Your boat is either a 1960- 1962 series from the picture. IF your boat has a glove box cover on the left side of the boat, it most likely is a later 1962 model. What does your jet drive tail assembly show? If it has the cable steering, it is most likely an early model.
The Buehler that was in Thunderball is a model that is entirely different than the Jet 35 model that you have. Buehler aptly named that model the "Thunderball" to capitalize on the popularity of the Bond film.
What engine in in your boat? The 1960- 1961 series of JEt 35's seemed to come with the Dearbon Intercepter y-block Fords, the 292, 312 etc. The 1962 models seemed to gravitate to the 327 CID Gray Marine Rambler Blocks.
