1966 Johnson 33 horsepower lower unit rebuild question

I have a 1966 Johnson super seahorse 33 horsepower outboard. The clutch cradle went bad in my lower unit and I ordered a new one went to put it in and the big washer with the two tits on the ends will not go where it was does anybody have a video or can tell me what I did wrong of white will not go back together

The two "tits" go vertically, one up and one down, not to the sides like you have them one I don't see the snap ring--is it in there? Goes between the tits washer and ball bearing,

Yes it's there thank you very much

The snap ring has a tapered side and must be installed the correct way !
