1966 johnson 80hp electramatic no spark

have this motor cranks over but no spark any ideas please thanks

Cleaned the points ?----Checked rotor ?------How long have you owned it ?-----Did this happen all of a sudden ?

thanks just got this boat 1966 starcraft newport closed bow with this motor compression 100 each cyl no spark thanks.

Got battery power to the coil? Got spark from the coil, before the distributor? That motor has wonderfully simple ignition system, works just like cars did before computers. Troubleshoot the same way.
