Does anyone know of an update kit you can put on a 1966 60hp V-4 Johnson Sea Horse motor that will reduce the amount of fuel that is burned?
I heard of it but i cannot find anything about it! Engine mode VXL-12R

Kcin..... In years past, one could obtain adjustable high speed jets to replace the fixed jets. Very unlikely those adjustable jets are still available.

Any attempt to downsize the fixed jets will result in a lean running engine which will, at a minimum, cause piston failure.

Bottom line, answer to your question, sorry to say but there's no way to safely do what you're asking.

Kcin, you missed the point if you reduce fuel you wont eat as much but you will eat more pistons.
I think the best option is to trade up to a newer motor at least mid 80s It will be lighter and the power will be rated at the prop.Id bet a 50 would preform almost as well as your old 60
and get twice the milage.
