I have a 66 950 ss tower of power 6 cyl, can an alarm be put on this engine to tell you if it is overheating? i had a impellar go out and the engine got hot enough to make the 2 cyle oil covering it to smoke like hell! can a device be added to this to make an alarm go off, has anyone tried this? thanks, i know this sounds like a stupid idea, but i dont want this to happen again. i hate looking back every minute to make sure it is peeing out the side.

There should be a pipe plug at the top of the cylinder block.
