1966 Mercury 1100SS Draining battery

Hi.<br /><br />I have a 1966 Mercury 1100SS that when it is connected to the battery it will drain all the "juice" with approximately an hour even after running it. sounds like the rectifier is shot. about $35<br />plus an extra $8 for a little bracket needed<br />to attatch the new style. highly reccomend a<br />service manual (bottom left of this page or<br />maybe local library) that way you can test it<br />and make sure that's the problem before you <br />waste money on parts u don't need.<br />a short in the harness could aslo be a drain...<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.
