1967 950ss help

was on lake motor stopped, has been running fine for years, will fire for a sec with short shot of eith, have checked, fuel, fuel lines, fuelpump all ok, new plugs dont even look wet, what going on need help my fish are waiting LOL

carbs, re-check, sounds like fuel delivery problem. tank vent?

You can clean the carbs without a kit. Also have a friend pump the ball while trying to run it to eliminate other delivery issues. Also remember the fuel pumps SUCK GAS - so any air leak ahead of them can break the suction.<br /><br />-W

wiring problems/or me ? ha ha wires inside motor were real bad, couldnt find a replacement harness so i replaced all wires by slice/solder. also installed dual battery selector ,motor turns over, problem is the choke, following was checked with omm meter all checked good,<in motor,, wire from choke to plug, from choke to ground noshort ,,and from plug to rest all ok ,,battery ground to motor //BOAT switch, gray wire>white in boat harness plug, all seems to check out, but when i hook battery up and hit choke nothing happens to meter /or choke,<br /> also found what might be a problem/from white wire on control box is grounded is this my problem for the boat to stop running is my control unit bad
